White Pass & Yukon Route

Narrow gauge mountain railroad — Skagway

Built during the Klondike Gold Rush in 1898-1900, this narrow gauge line climbs nearly 3,000 feet in 20 miles from Skagway to the White Pass summit, through tunnels, over trestles, and past gorges.
