Widely regarded as one of the finest railroad museums in the world, with 19 meticulously restored locomotives and cars telling the story of the transcontinental railroad from the place where it began.

Railroad Connection

Built in Old Sacramento at the western origin point of the transcontinental railroad; preserves Central Pacific and Southern Pacific heritage.

The transcontinental railroad started here in 1863. There is no more important address in American railroad history.
